Welcome to the PNECC Road, Closed Circuit & Track racing page.

Locally there are some well organised British Cycling sanctioned road races, that benefit from having Accredited Marshals, National Escort Group motorbikes riders, British Cycling Commisaires and a whole load of other volunteers that make the events work.

Not too far away from Portsmouth are traffic-free road 'circuits' - Goodwood, Thruxton, Bath (Odd Down), Castle Combe, Hillingdon & Redbridge. Portsmouth also has a D shaped circuit that is used for both road & track meetings - similarly at Brighton (Preston Park).

An outdoor tarmac track for fixed wheel, can be found at Bournemouth and at Calshot a wooden track. Bournemouth promotes events in the warmer/drier parts of the year with Calshot holding a regular Winter League.

Portsmouth North End hold an Annual Summer Road Race on the Owslebury Circuit near Winchester.
